Today’s topic: Convention on the Rights of the Child

I attended a workshop on Convention on the Rights of the Child at a community center.

In the workshop, small groups were made and each group consisted of the members who had similar ages of their kids.

Article 12 – Respect of the child’s views. The child has the right to express his or her opinion freely and to have that opinion taken into account in any matter or procedure affecting the child.

Through all parts, we had chances to talk about our own situations and ask participants' opinions.

I realized how little I listened to my son and ask or order him to do something. It's sometimes difficult to make time to listen to, especially in the morning when I get ready for kindergarten, etc., but I'll make efforts to allow my son to show his views and opinions as much as possible...
